Echinodorus fluitans Fassett
Synonym of: Echinodorus cordifolius (L.) Griseb.
Relatively fast-growing Echinodorus from Mexico, which fits well in large aquariums and grows to 20-50 cm tall and up to 30 cm wide. In contrast to other round-leaved varieties of the species, Echinodorus cordifolius ssp. fluitans does not grow up through the surface so easily. When it grows large enough, the large leaves will instead lie directly under the surface of the water.
