Although the hybrid was produced a long time ago (about 10 years ago), it is not yet very common among our aquarists. The hybrid author Tomas Kaliebe jokingly called Echinodorus 'Rainer's Felix' by the name (or nickname) of the cat of Rainer Leidtholdt, the owner of the ZooLogiCa nursery. Incidentally, the owner had 2 cats - Felix and Kitty, and both received a "gift" according to Echinodorus. Echinodorus 'Rainer's Felix' is one of the smallest Echinodorus. Its maximum size is about 10 cm, the color of the leaves is similar to the color of its 'parents', the green leaves have a striking reddish-light brown pattern. The young leaf has a golden hue with lighter spots. In cultivation it is quite easy, requiring no special keeping conditions, although the growth rate is not high.[1]
