The conditions of keeping suited him and Echinodorus Hadi Red Pearl began to grow and develop successfully. In an adult plant, the spots became less noticeable and the young leaf took on an unusual red color and resembled a pearl (photo 2). The leaves of Echinodorus Hadi Red Pearl are very tough, leathery and form a dense rosette. The size of Echinodorus is very attractive - it grows no more than 15 cm.
Echinodorus Hadi Red Pearl is a surprisingly beautiful species of Echinodorus, relatively small, very decorative, suitable for small and medium-sized aquariums. Quite a rare species. Echinodorus Hadi Red Pearl is a hybrid, a newcomer to aquaristics that appeared relatively recently. Native to Indonesia, a delightfully small aquarium plant, much smaller than most Echinodorus species. It reaches a height of 15-20 cm, growing rather slowly but steadily. The bush is very compact, the leaves are dense. The rosette is a combination of red and green leaves with some pattern. Green leaves with reddish-brown and even black spots, in strong light or directly under light the leaves turn red. Can grow above the water surface. It reproduces by flowering shoots on which daughter plants are formed. In general, it is a rather undemanding Echinodorus. The plant can grow completely under water as well as in paludarium conditions. There are no special requirements for water parameters, recommended pH 6-7.5, temperature 22-28 °C. Lighting can be either medium or strong. Red Echinodorus pearls can grow in ordinary empty sand or shallow soil, but in this case it is recommended to add fertilizers in the form of tablets or clay balls under the roots. The most beautiful plants are obtained in strong light and soil with ferrous nutrient substrate. Co2 supplementation is optional. Application of liquid fertilizers to the water, including iron, is highly desirable, especially in strong light. Echinodorus Hadi Red Pearl is surprisingly suitable for small and even nano aquariums. Creates an interesting contrast in colors and textures. In medium to large aquariums, it can be found in the center, background, and even foreground.[1]
